We are not affiliated with Amtrak or any other train carrier. We act as a third-party travel agency that assists customers with researching, booking, and managing rail tickets in the United States.
2. Nature of Our Services
Our services include providing information about train routes, schedules, and seat classes; processing reservation requests on behalf of customers; and assisting with itinerary changes, cancellations, and refund requests. We do not operate trains or directly provide rail transportation services. All tickets are issued, honored, and operated by the respective rail carrier.
3. Agency Service Fees
Rail Ramblers charges service fees for the assistance we provide. These fees are separate from the carrier's published ticket price and any applicable taxes. All service fees are disclosed to you before you authorize payment. By proceeding with a booking, change, or cancellation, you agree to the disclosed service fee.
4. Carrier Terms Apply
All tickets booked through Rail Ramblers are governed by the operating rail carrier's terms of carriage, fare rules, and conditions of travel. These include but are not limited to baggage policies, change and cancellation rules, refund policies, schedule changes, denied boarding, and code-share arrangements. We strongly recommend you review the carrier's terms before completing a booking.
5. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are quoted in US Dollars.
- Fares displayed are subject to change until the ticket is issued by the carrier.
- Payment is processed via secure, PCI-compliant payment gateways.
- Any disputes regarding charges should be raised with us within 30 days of the transaction.
6. Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing accurate information at the time of booking, including the full legal name of each traveler, dates of birth (where required), and contact information. Rail Ramblers is not liable for any losses caused by inaccurate information provided by you.
7. Travel Documents and Identification
It is your responsibility to ensure you carry valid government-issued identification when boarding any rail service that requires it. Some carriers require ID for ticket pickup or boarding. We do not verify ID requirements on your behalf.
8. Changes and Cancellations
Itinerary changes and cancellations are subject to the carrier's published fare rules. Rail Ramblers cannot guarantee a refund, credit, or change unless permitted by those rules. Please see our Refund Policy for details.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rail Ramblers' total liability arising out of or relating to our services shall not exceed the total agency service fee paid by you for the specific transaction in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, missed connections, or lost vacation time. We are not liable for carrier schedule changes, cancellations, mechanical issues, weather disruptions, or acts of force majeure.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rail Ramblers, its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or liability arising from your breach of these Terms or your use of our services.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on www.railramblers.online — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Rail Ramblers or its licensors and is protected by US and international copyright law. Carrier trademarks and logos referenced on this site are the property of their respective owners.
